Well the new school year has begun and a lot of students are now finding themselves in a very unfamiliar place – the kitchen. You might have recently, in a state of panic, Googled “how to cook in college” or “cooking in college” and now find yourself reading this blog. If this is your first time here, welcome!
We are Declan and Erica, a couple who have been cooking together for the past 2 years. We attend the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Erica is studying bioengineering (graduating in May 2013) and Declan is studying industrial engineering (graduating December 2012). We are engaged to be married at the end of September!
Back in May of 2011 we started this blog to share our cooking experiences with other college students. Since then we have posted over 100 recipes, won a blog award, wrote an article for a magazine, and have met countless other students who are passionate about cooking.
We do our best to show that cooking in college is not scary, expensive, or all that hard. All it takes is a commitment, and before you know it, you’ll be “wowing” your friends and roommates with your awesome cooking skills! And you’ll feel so much healthier cooking your own meals!
